A longstanding Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) loyalist family from Larkana has come forward with serious allegations of land-related corruption, political pressure, and a massive bribe demand involving senior local officials. Speaking to the channel, members of the overseas Pakistani Sargani Baloch family have publicly appealed to the PPP leadership and government authorities to intervene and protect both citizens’ rights and the legacy of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

For decades, Pakistan has struggled with a deeply entrenched culture of corruption in its political and bureaucratic systems, and Sindh’s interior remains one of the starkest examples of this decay. Whenever the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secures power in the province, local officers in many districts are widely seen as operating not for the public, but for influential MPA and MNA powerbrokers who treat state machinery as a personal extension of their political reach. While senior leaders like Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other top officials present a progressive, people-centric vision at the national level, they are often far removed from what actually happens on the ground—where land mafias, corrupt revenue staff, and politically connected officials allegedly exploit ordinary citizens with impunity. It is in this environment that the case of the Sargani Baloch family emerges, reflecting how systemic abuse of authority can quietly destroy the lives and trust of even the most loyal PPP supporters.

The Sargani Baloch family, overseas Pakistanis and agricultural landowners from Larkana, have issued a passionate appeal through media channels, highlighting the deep injustice they face despite decades of loyal support for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Their family’s roots with PPP run deep—their grandfather was a close companion of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and served as a BD Member (PPP) in 1965, while their uncle, Imdad Ali, endured imprisonment at Sukkur Jail during the party’s struggle for democracy.

The Sargani Baloch family are agricultural landowners of Deh Qabulo, Yaro Lakhair, and Siamtias, Taluka Dokri, District Larkana, and are currently residing in the UK and Canada as overseas Pakistanis. They say their inherited agricultural land is fully documented and has been in their continuous possession for the past 28 years. In March 2025, they applied for a Sale Certificate at the Mukhtiarkar Office, Dokri, but the application has allegedly faced continuous delays and unjustified hurdles ever since.

In September 2025, the family was informed of “suspicious entries” in their land record, specifically for:

  • Deh Qabulo: 124, 157, 161, 172
  • Yaro Lakhair: 279, 280, 281, 282
  • Deh Siamtias: 290/2

The Sargani Baloch family states that the Mukhtiarkar Office has already submitted a written report in their favour, confirming their longstanding possession and recommending that the suspicious entries be unblocked, as they do not reflect the factual or legal position. Despite this, the file was allegedly circulated unnecessarily between the Tapedar, Mukhtiarkar, Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Commissioner offices, instead of being resolved on merit.

The turning point, as described by the family, came when the matter reached Additional Commissioner Sahib Khan Lund. At this stage, the family was allegedly:

  • Informally asked to pay Rs. 10,000,000 (1 Crore) in bribe money to “clear the record”, and
  • Informed that their case was being held due to pressure from MPA Sohail Anwar Siyal and Mr. Tariq Anwar Siyal, with no order to be issued without their approval.

A member of the Sargani Baloch family points out that there are already widespread public allegations and a notorious reputation associated with Sahib Khan Lund in land-related matters, and says this has further shaken their confidence in the fairness and integrity of the process. He says this alleged misconduct has caused the family severe emotional distress, significant financial loss, and unnecessary hardship, especially as overseas Pakistanis who have limited time during visits to Pakistan and rely on transparent, lawful administrative procedures.

Through their public statement, the Sargani Baloch family is respectfully requesting that the competent authorities:

Take firm action so such conduct does not continue to harm citizens or tarnish the name and legacy of PPP.

Order an urgent, impartial investigation into the unlawful obstruction of their Sale Certificate.

Direct all relevant departments to remove illegal objections and unblock the suspicious entries, in line with the Mukhtiarkar’s written report.

Ensure the Sale Certificate is issued strictly on merit, without political interference or corrupt demands.

Investigate all individuals allegedly involved in the Rs. 1 Crore bribe demand, misuse of authority, and any external political pressure.

By speaking out publicly, the Sargani Baloch family says they are not only seeking justice for themselves, but also calling for the protection of other genuine landowners, especially overseas Pakistanis, who expect the state and its institutions to uphold transparency, merit, and the rule of law in Larkana and across Sindh.
